Coming Off the Pill

It’s been almost six years since I started taking the contraceptive pill, Microgynon. Up until the last year or so, I never really questioned it. Taking a pill every day that alters my hormones and changes the way my body functions. I was 17 when I first started taking it, and now, 22-years-old, I’ve decided to stop.

At least, for a while, anyway.

Finish What You Started

I’m writing this post in bed with a head cold, a slight sense of guilt lingering over me as I told myself not to open my laptop and just go to bed and rest. But being the technology addict I am, laptop was switched with phone.

Having had my phone replaced the other day, I restored everything from my last back up, to see all my old photos had found their way back onto my phone. Scrolling through random pictures from last summer, I came across the photo above.

Maybelline EyeStudio Color Tattoo | Eye Primer Review


My quest for a drugstore eye primer is ongoing. Not that I’ve actually tried that many, but it’s hard to find something that works that doesn’t break the bank. For a few months now I’ve been using Maybelline’s Color Tattoo in Creme de Nude as a base for my eyeshadow and liquid/gel liner. I wanted to see if this would work as a primer to prevent creasing and to stop my eyeliner transferring to my brow bone.

I often take for granted the fact I can speak another language. Although I went to uni to study French, the ability to speak a language besides English is just normal to me. From the age of about 3, I’ve learnt French. I’m so glad that I have this skill, not because I use it everyday. In fact, at the moment I don’t get to use it nearly as much as I’d like to.

Top 10 Tracks for Your Work Out | Gym Motivation

I don’t know about you, but I cannot get motivated at the gym without some music. Usually I start my work out off on the treadmill, which is great for getting the blood pumping, but seriously repetitive and a bit dull. When I’ve got some good music on however, I can run for miles (or maybe like 5km).

I thought I’d share my top 10 tracks for any work out to give you a little bit of motivation to get down to the gym or go for a run or whatever.
